Orange Smoothie isopods are bold, fast-breeding, and full of personality. Their bright orange coloration stands out beautifully against dark leaf litter and cork, making them a great choice for both bioactive and display enclosures.

These are an excellent starter species for keepers who can provide consistent moisture, ventilation, and plenty of food.

Behavior & Appearance:

Orange Smoothies are active and visible, often seen grazing across the enclosure. They don’t roll up but instead scurry quickly when disturbed. As the colony grows, you’ll see a range of rich orange shades from lighter juveniles to deeper adults.

Feeding: 

Offer a mix of high-quality isopod diet, fish or shrimp pellets, vegetables (squash, sweet potato, carrot), and plenty of decaying leaves and wood. Provide a constant calcium source such as cuttlebone, cleaned and baked eggshell, or our CalciStone pieces.
