Shipping policy
We ship live animals using reliable carrier services selected to minimize transit time and stress.
Available options may include:
- USPS Priority
- USPS Priority Express
- Other carrier services as listed at checkout
Shipping options vary by product, weather conditions, and destination. Some products may require a specific shipping method to qualify for our Live Arrival Guarantee (LAG).
Shipping Days
- Orders are typically shipped Monday–Wednesday
- This helps avoid packages being delayed over weekends
- We do not ship live animals on Thursdays, Fridays, weekends, or holidays unless explicitly stated
Order Processing Time
- Orders are usually processed within 1–5 business days
- Live shipments may be held to ensure:
- Safe weather conditions
- Animal readiness
- Proper packing resources
You will receive a tracking number once your order ships.
Weather Holds & Safety Delays
The health of live animals always comes first.
We may delay shipment due to:
- Extreme heat or cold
- Severe weather conditions
- Carrier service disruptions
If conditions are unsafe, we may:
- Delay shipment
- Require Hold for Pickup
- Contact you to coordinate a safe shipping window
Shipping against our weather recommendations may void the Live Arrival Guarantee.
Delivery Responsibility
Customers are responsible for:
- Providing a correct and complete shipping address
- Being available to receive the package on delivery day
- Bringing the package inside immediately after delivery
Tiny Green Tails, LLC is not responsible for:
- Packages left outside
- Missed delivery attempts
- Theft after delivery
- Incorrect addresses provided at checkout
Live Arrival Guarantee
Live shipments are covered under our Live Arrival Guarantee when all requirements are met.

- Eligible shipping methods
Claims must be submitted within 2 hours of delivery.
Carrier Delays
Once a package is accepted by the carrier, transit times are outside our control.
We are not responsible for:
- Carrier delays
- Tracking errors
- Weather-related transit issues
Refunds for delayed packages are not guaranteed and are evaluated case by case.
Local Pickup
Local pickup may be offered when available.
- Animals are guaranteed healthy at the time of pickup
- Once picked up, care and environmental conditions are the responsibility of the customer
Order Cancellations
- Orders cannot be canceled once shipping preparation has begun
- Live animal orders are non-refundable once shipped
